Description
Aerosol is a multiphase system formed by the dispersion of solid or liquid particles smaller than 10 microns from a gas medium into the surrounding environment. This system fills the volume it disperses into by remaining suspended in the space for a long time without settling.
In the event of a fire, solid composition tablets inside the aerosol extinguishers are activated automatically or manually through the fire detection system, using a trigger on the extinguisher, initiating a redox reaction in the tablet composition. As a result of this reaction, it produces a multiphase fog cloud containing potassium carbonate and bicarbonates, water vapor, carbon dioxide, and dense nitrogen, which has fire extinguishing properties. This multiphase fog cloud extinguishes the fire quickly and effectively through physical and chemical intervention.
Aerosol extinguishing system design must be carried out in accordance with TS EN 15276-1 standards. Manufacturer specifications must absolutely be considered in the placement of aerosol generators.
