Description

According to research, most restaurant fires originate from cooking equipment. Grease fires pose a major risk for industrial kitchens. Water cannot be used to combat this situation. In hoods that aren’t regularly cleaned, the concentration of flammable substances like grease gradually increases, raising the fire risk. Grease is the most easily ignitable fuel type that causes fires. Grease can ignite directly, and grease residues accumulated in chimneys or hoods can ignite even after the heat source is turned off.
The “KANAY Hood Fire Suppression System”, developed through R&D efforts for kitchen fires, eliminates these risks and continues to protect you and your kitchen 24/7.

Fires occurring in hoods are immediately detected by sensors. When the device detects a fire, the specially developed suppression liquid is quickly dispersed to the affected area. The suppression liquid covers the flames and cuts off the fire’s oxygen supply. This provides rapid cooling. When the system activates, the gas line to the device is cut off and the fuel source automatically stops. Thus, by immediately responding to a small but dangerous kitchen fire, its spread to other areas is prevented. Based on the hood size and the number and characteristics of kitchen equipment underneath, the volume of suppression liquid and the number of nozzles and detection equipment are designed separately for each project. Investing in kitchen fire suppression systems is more economical than repairing fire and smoke damage.

KANAY brand hood suppression systems have UL300 compliance and CE certifications; all products used in the system are certified and approved. The valve used in the system is patented by our company and is the world’s first and only valve with a locking system. Our experts regularly conduct R&D on all system components, and products and systems undergo quality testing before being offered to customers.
According to the Regulation on Fire Protection of Buildings, based on the Ministry of Public Works and Settlement’s letter dated 1.11.2007 and numbered 5098, pursuant to Article 9 of Civil Defense Law No. 7126, automatic suppression systems must be installed in hoods of kitchens in shopping centers, high-rise buildings, and food factories, as well as kitchens serving more than 100 people at once, excluding residences, along with gas detection, gas shutoff, and warning systems based on the characteristics of the gas used in stoves.
