Inert Gas Fire Suppression Systems

The following natural gases are suitable for fire extinguishing purposes because they exist in gaseous form under normal conditions and can be obtained from the atmosphere without significant energy expenditure:

• IG-100 Nitrogen / IG-01 Argon / IG-541 Inergen Nitrogen+Argon+Carbondioxide
• IG-55 Argonite Nitrogen+Argon

It is colorless, odorless, and non-conductive. Extinguishes by reducing oxygen in the environment. Leaves no residue after discharge, requires no cleaning. Can be safely used in occupied spaces. Used in replacement of Halon 1301 systems. Used with 200 or 300 bar cylinder pressure / 55-60 bar system pressure. Standards are ISO1450, UNE 23570 NFPA 2001: IG55. Can be stored in 80 and 140 liter capacity cylinders, using single or multiple cylinders. Discharge Time: 60 seconds. Multiple areas/spaces can be extinguished from the same center using directional valves. Easily available and refillable locally in our country.
